Posted On July 16, 2021
The Seattle Passports Agency has announced a new cost for US passport holders, the price of which will be $13 less for US citizens and $15 less for permanent residents.
The Seattle Passwords Agency, which has offices in the US capital, said that the new fee will apply to all US passport holder and permanent resident renewals beginning January 1, 2019.
The new fee applies to all renewals for the 2018, 2019, and 2020 Passport Categories.
A US passport will have a new expiration date of May 1, 2021.
In 2018, there were over 30 million US passport renewals, of which only 2.8 million were for US residents.
The other 3.8million renewals were for people living abroad.
The renewal fee for US passports will be the same as the renewal fee of any other US passport.
The agency said that all renewing US passport applicants must show proof of their residency status, such as a US passport, birth certificate, or passport renewal card, and must show they have a valid US driver’s license or US passport renewal sticker.
The fee will also include the cost of renewals at the Seattle Passages office.
A new passport is only valid for one year.
A new renewal fee is set to be imposed by January 1.
