If you’ve been in Australia for more than a year, you’ll be able to get your US passport once you’re registered and processed in Australia.
But the process is much more complicated than that, and we’ve put together a detailed guide to help you get started.

If you’re applying for your first US passport, you can apply online for your visa at the US Embassy in Australia or through your country of origin.
You’ll also need to provide details about yourself and your current situation in the US, as well as your visa number.
If your application is accepted, your passport will arrive in the mail within a week of being approved.
If you’re in the process of applying for a second passport, your first passport will have to be returned to you by the end of March 2019.
You’ll also have to pay US$25.00 for each passport that you receive.
If applying for the passport of a US citizen in Australia, you must have at least three months of residency in the country and the Australian citizenship application form must contain the following information:1.
Your passport number.2.
The date and time your visa application was processed.3.
Your address, if you live there.4.
Your social security number and date of birth.5.
Your date of application.6.
Your US visa number, which must be at least 3 months old and valid for at least 90 days.
You will also need:1: A photograph of yourself.2: Proof that you’ve lived in Australia in the past six months.3: A statement of your immigration status, such as a visa number or application form.
The application for a US citizenship can take up to three weeks to complete, but the time frame is usually shortened for those seeking to apply for a first or second passport.
If the US visa application process takes more than three weeks, you will need to pay a fee of $250.00.
This process is a lengthy one, but it does have benefits for you.
You can get your passport from the US embassy in your country, or you can wait to apply at a US consulate.
Once you’re approved, you don’t have to return to the US for any further processing.
You can find more information on the US Government’s resettlement program here: US Embassy, Embassy of the United States of America, Brisbane, QLD 28016, Australia.
If your application has already been processed and you’re awaiting your passport, it can be delayed until you receive it.
If this happens, you may need to contact the Australian Consulate in your US country to find out if they can reschedule your passport for you to receive it at a later date.
