When is the Indian passport validity valid?
This article will help you answer that question.
The most important question to answer when a passport renewal application is filed is whether or not the passport holder has lived in India for at least 3 months prior to applying for a renewal.
If you are a citizen of India who has lived abroad for less than 3 months, the passport is valid.
But if you are Indian, you will need to file a renewal application with the Department of External Affairs (DHA) to be able to renew the passport.
If the applicant has lived there for 3 months before applying for renewal, the renewal application will not be valid.
However, if you have lived in another country for more than 3 years, the application is valid, but if you do not have a valid passport, you need to obtain a renewal certificate.
In case you have not applied for a passport, the Indian Government has an official website for passport renewal applications, and there are several other ways to get passport renewal certificates.
If you have been a resident of India for less that three months, you can get a renewal passport through the National Driver Licensee Registration Authority (NDLA) website.
If your passport is from a foreign country, the official website of the Indian Embassy in the foreign country has a list of countries where you can apply for renewal of your passport.
The Indian Government website does not list all the countries where the passport can be renewed.
But, for most Indians, there is no need to go through any further steps to renew their passport.
Once you have applied for your renewal certificate, you should immediately send it to the India Office of Passports and ID Cards (IOAPID) for processing.
If it is not received within 24 hours, you must send it back.
If this is the case, you are required to apply for a duplicate renewal certificate by submitting a renewal request form.
If your passport has not been issued yet, you may need to apply to the Indian embassy in the other country to renew your passport, or you can do so in person.
But, if the embassy in your other country refuses to process your application, you have to go to a designated embassy in India to renew a passport there.
You may also need to contact your local Indian consulate for a copy of your application.
The consulate in your local country can be contacted for any other reasons.
If a renewal has not taken place within 30 days from the date of application, the applicant should immediately notify the Indian Consulate General in the country where the application was lodged.
If no notification is received, you do need to submit a new application.
The official website gives you the time limit to submit your application for renewal.
But you should contact the Indian consulate of your foreign country to check the status of your renewal.
You may also want to check with your nearest consulate for details of the application process.
